Seven solo pipers took part in the first Beeston and District Pipe Band Society Piping Spectacular on 24th September 2005, held at Great Gonerby Social Club in Grantham. Each piper rose to the challenge of playing for 25 minutes each and kept the audience entertained with their musical skills and variety of tunes.

After several hours of top quality playing the audience took a vote on their number one piper and the result was soon announced, with all the competitors present on stage.
Gary Watt won and was congratulated by the Band President, Vic Humphries, and all the other competitors...
